Based on project proposal, AN awarded me a grant to travel through Iceland, exploring the physiological effects of the Arctic summer light.

 

We spent every night on a west facing coast to experience the full length of each day and the continual westerly direction of travel, changeable climatic conditions and incredible scenery have resulted in a large body of creative work across photography, painting, printmaking and installation.

 

The residency expedition was accompanied by a travel writing brief.
