Variance

Variance is a new series of graphic collages made with varying shades, tones and textures of acrylic painted paper.  Using a combination of harmonious and jarring colour relationships, the collages have disjointed elements that collide, overlap and challenge the space around them to create dynamic and energetic compositions.

 

The colour and vitality of the collages is a reaction to the un-colourful life of our recent lockdowns. They are a visual expression of the energy that we usually receive and give in our daily personal interactions; the rich social and cultural experiences that we are craving to return to.
